Parr's House = Rustin Parr's House: This is the site where, according
to legend, Rustin Parr killed seven children in the basement of his home.
The house is in ruins now-so why did Laura Morley's camera produce photographs
of the entire house?
Sheppards Glen = This is it-the spot in Tappy East Creek where
Eileen Treacle mysteriously drowned in 1825. Until my investigation into
this portion of the Blair Witch legend, it had been a mystery to me where
the drowning incident had taken place.
Northwest of Nanticoke Trail = Although they didn't know it at
the time, Cecilia Northrup and her group were camped very near here-just
a few feet away-during the bitterly cold spring of 1999. This is where
they encountered the Drowning Ghost
Coffin Rock = As Heather explains in this videotape, this was the site of the grizzly murder of a search party of men during the 1800s. From Cecilia Northrup's description, this is also most likely the spot where she saw a dead body. Like the bodies of the men in the search party, the corpse Cecilia saw had been brutally disemboweled. And there's another similarity-the body Cecilia came across mysteriously disappeared moments later.
Was the corpse really there, or was it a product of Cecilia's panicked,
cold, and malnourished mind?
Car = This is where Joshua Leonard's car was found in 1994. Aside
from Heather's film, it's one of the only pieces of evidence that authorities
found in their investigation of Heather's disappearance
Black Rock Road = Black Rock Road is the main access route between
the Black Hills Forest and the town of Burkittsville
Tappy East Creek = Tappy East Creek: A young girl, Eileen Treacle,
drowned in this creek, which is extremely shallow. Witnesses claimed to
see a hand come from the creek to pull the girl in, leading many to suspect
that the Blair Witch was involved in the girl's drowning. This creek is
one of the forest's largest landmarks. It appears in my cousin Heather's
video footage many times.
